NEW LOOK - 6915

After reading Sheilaz blog and seeing the great reviews she gave this pattern I was convinced I had to make one of my own. She is absolutely right when she says "It's an instant gratification garment ." I whipped this one up in a couple of hours and even had time to make a skirt to go with it. This skirt pattern is my TNT. I think I can sew this one with my eyes closed..lol..

I love the draped neckline with the pleats at the shoulders. No pattern alteration was needed. I made View D. For this view I only needed to use two pattern pieces. I omitted the elastic in the waist and added a fashion tie belt. In place of bias tape to finish the back neck edge I used a strip of fashion fabric. For the hem allowance on the lower edge of the sleeves and hemline I folded a narrow hem and stitch it down. Very quick and easy sew.
