Happy New Year!  I decided my first project for the new year would be pants. It is extremely cold and snowy in NY and I just hate cold weather and snow. Pants and more pants are a must have in my wardrobe for the winter. Layered with long johns and tights...lol...

Pattern Description: Misses boot leg pants in two lengths or shorts, wide leg pants and gauchos
View A
Fabric: Tweed wool blend
Color: Sienna, gray with a touch of brown
Size: 10

I am very satisfied with how these pants turned out.  The pattern was used straight out the envelope no alteration was needed. I used china silk to construct the trouser pockets, Sandra Betzina - flat fly front zipper method to insert the zipper and I also added two faux double welt pockets to the back using Palmer/Pletsch Pants for Real People.  This was one of the most simplest methods that I have come across for making faux welt pockets. I have tried other methods with the pocket bag and it just doesn't come out right. The faux pockets are simpler and easy to construct.

Faux Double Welt Pocket

I am very thrilled with this pattern. I love the style of these pants. I love how they fit and it works well with my shape. The pattern instructions were very simple and easy to follow.  This is now my TNT pants pattern

These are a great pair of pants! And I hear you on the snow...it's not the end of January yet and I'm snow weary!

I thought I would make alot of pants this winter for the same reasons as you but I've taken to wearing my jeans to work and changing into a skirt and I'm liking this better!

Hope you get quite a few more pairs made!
