A big thank you for all the nice comments that was left on my last project. I am really trying very hard to be consistent with blog posting. They may not be weekly but I am taking small steps toward getting there.
Misses dress with pleats on the bodice front, skirt front and back. Can be made in mid-knee or evening length with a lined bodice, midriff and back zipper.
Fabric used - Floral stretch cotton blend - This fabric was a charm to work with and wear. It held the pleats perfectly even after a full day at work standing, sitting and moving around. The pleats stayed in place and didn't show any signs of wrinkles like a 100% cotton or linen would.
I love everything about this pattern, the V neckline, the horizontal pleats on the bodice front, the vertical pleats on the skirt, the fitted midriff and the length was just perfect for me.
Here is a close up of the pleats. They were very easy to make, three pleats on each side of the bodice front and stitch the front together down the middle.
Here is the close up of the skirt front. Simple and easy four pleats on each side folded towards the center front
Overall, If this is your style, I highly recommend this pattern.
